In 1967 the physicist Tullio Regge had the surface of a quartic mathematical function worked out by an electronic calculator, and Gufram gave the result a soft, rounded body. Gufram describes it as the first piece of furniture designed with the help of a calculator. The form resists a single name: it works as a pouf, as a low recliner and as a chaise longue.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe core is soft polyurethane, dressed in a removable fabric cover. At Ø 105 cm and 58 cm high, Detecma weighs about 14 kg and is easy to move from room to room.
