neobule-vase
Neobule Vase

Neobule is a vase in Murano glass, designed by Ettore Sottsass in 1986. Two cones meet in the middle: a dark funnel opens at the top, and a white conical foot carries it from below, joined at a small ring in yellow and green. The vase is 51 cm high and is assembled from separate glass elements, each in its own colour.

It is made by hand with traditional Murano techniques, so form and colour differ slightly from piece to piece. Memphis counts such differences as part of its artisanal production. Memphis describes each of its pieces as the result of long handwork, in which the craftsmen handle every surface many times as it is made.
