Steam Table is a small table in the form of a cooking pot from which a column of steam rises and sets solid to form the top. Studio Job designed it for Gufram in 2025, treating a fleeting moment as if it had been frozen in place and bending the usual sense of proportion in the process.
The pot at the base is glazed ceramic in gold and bronze tones, as if it came from a fairy-tale forge. The cloud above it is carved from soft polyurethane and finished by hand with Guflac®, which lets the steam look weightless while it serves as the table top.
Steam Table is limited to 100 pieces. It measures 60 × 61 cm and stands 55.5 cm high, a height that suits a sofa or an armchair. Because the steam is finished by hand, its surface differs slightly from piece to piece. Studio Job's Punch A Wall plays a similar game with bricks.
