Acapulco is a table clock designed by George J. Sowden in 1981. It is built as a small tower: a square clock face in blue with yellow indices sits on a block, and both parts are covered in strongly contrasting laminate patterns, green around the dial and red zigzags on blue below.
The clock is covered with decorative laminate. It is made as a limited edition of 30 pieces and stands 30 cm high on a footprint of 16 by 16 cm. Memphis produces in Italian workshops, and small differences in colour and pattern between pieces are part of this artisanal production.
