Oberoj is an armchair designed by George J. Sowden in 1981, the year Memphis showed its first collection in Milan. This version has a red body on short, thick yellow legs. A printed fabric in pink and black, designed by Nathalie Du Pasquier, covers the arms and part of the seat. This red version is a limited edition of 20 pieces.
The armchair is upholstered in cotton and stands on lacquered wood legs. It measures 95 by 95 cm and is 90 cm high. Memphis makes its pieces in Italian workshops, and small differences in colour and surface between pieces are part of this artisanal production.
