Burgundy is a table designed by Michele De Lucchi in 1985. It is a generous rectangle of 155 × 105 cm at a height of 72 cm, deep enough for a shared meal or for working with papers spread out.
The table top is wood covered with decorative laminate and rests on painted metal legs, so a printed surface meets painted metal. Laminate and paint are finished by hand in Italy, and small differences in colour and surface from piece to piece are part of the process.
The founding group itself lasted only a short time, but its pieces remain part of the Memphis Milano catalogue today.

Care
| Wood | Dust regularly and wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry. Avoid standing water, strong heat and harsh cleaners. Follow the manufacturer's advice for oiled or lacquered finishes. |
|---|---|
| Steel | Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry immediately. Powder-coated surfaces tolerate a mild detergent; avoid abrasive cleaners. Raw steel can develop a patina and is best kept dry. |
