Roma is an armchair designed by Marco Zanini in 1986. The name points to the monuments of Rome and to the imperial thrones seen in Hollywood films, and the chair has the solid, squared form of a throne: 101 cm wide, 90 cm deep and 90 cm high.
Instead of upholstery, Roma uses the surface of the material itself. The shell is reinforced fibreglass with an iridescent finish, so its colour shifts with the light. It comes in Silver and Green. The finish is applied by hand in Italy, and small differences in colour and surface from piece to piece are part of the process.
