Celery is a serving platter by Michele De Lucchi from 1985. De Lucchi was among the young designers and architects who met at Ettore Sottsass's home in Milan in December 1980, the meeting from which Memphis grew.
The platter is made of ceramic, painted by hand and finished with decorative decals fixed in the kiln. It measures 42 × 32 cm. Because the colour is applied by hand, tone and surface differ slightly from piece to piece; Memphis counts such shading as part of artisanal production.
