D'Antibes is a cabinet designed by George J. Sowden in 1981. Sowden arrived in Italy in 1970, met Ettore Sottsass there and was part of the circle that founded Memphis. The cabinet is a slim, tall piece, 60 cm wide, 40 cm deep and 160 cm high.
It is made of lacquered wood with decorative screen-printed panels and tempered glass doors, so printed pattern and clear glass meet on one front. The panels are printed and the lacquer is applied by hand in Italy, and small differences in colour and surface between pieces are part of the process.
