Ionian is a small table mirror by Michele De Lucchi from 1985. It grew out of a table mirror he drew that year as a Christmas gift for the magazine Donna, an idea Memphis then developed into Ionian and its companion Dorian.
The mirror turns on a hinge, so it can be set at the angle you need. In Ionian a square mirror overlaps a circle, while the name points to the Ionic order, which De Lucchi plays against the Doric of Dorian. It is made of lacquered wood, 40 cm wide, 18 cm deep and 40 cm high, and finished by hand in Italy.
