Ivory is a tall side table designed by Ettore Sottsass in 1985. It is round, 48 cm in diameter, and 100 cm high, a small, upright piece for a corner or beside a chair.
The body is wood covered with decorative laminate and wood veneer and carries a top of tempered glass. Laminate and veneer give the body its colour and grain. Surfaces are finished by hand in Italy, and small differences in colour and surface from piece to piece are part of the process.
Memphis describes each piece as the result of long handwork that starts again with every project.
