Kristall Side Table

Kristall is a side table designed by Michele De Lucchi in 1981, the year Memphis showed its first collection. A small round yellow top sits on a rectangular block patterned in black and white, and the block stands on thin blue metal legs that splay out at the feet. The solid block over light legs gives the table an unexpected, slightly top-heavy stance.

The table is made of lacquered wood covered with decorative laminate, with painted metal elements. It is 50 cm wide, 63 cm deep and 65 cm high. Small differences in lacquer and pattern between pieces are part of Memphis' artisanal production.
