Rucola is a serving plate designed by Ettore Sottsass in 1985, one of the Memphis ceramics from that year named after vegetables. The name is the Italian word for rocket. The white plate is 30 cm across, with black blotches running along the upper rim and small raised strokes at the bottom.
It is made of white ceramic, with decorative decals sublimated in the kiln. Pattern and glaze can differ slightly from plate to plate, as Memphis counts small irregularities as part of its artisanal production.
