543 Broadway Chair 4 Legs

This is the four-leg version of the 543 Broadway chair, designed by Gaetano Pesce and produced by Meritalia as a limited edition. Like the rest of the series it has a slim metal frame, and its legs end in large springs, which lets the sitter rock gently back and forth and from side to side. Meritalia made this first edition together with Pesce's own workshop, using his resin techniques.

Seat and backrest are epoxy resin, poured into a mould where the colours mix without control, so no two chairs match. The frame stays visible through the transparent resin. The chair is limited to 99 pieces and comes in yellow and red or in blue and green. Form and colour may differ from the images, and the resin can change colour slightly with time, which Meritalia counts as part of the artisanal process.
