The Senzafine pouf belongs to the series of seats by Gaetano Pesce for Meritalia, whose name is Italian for endless. A continuous polyurethane cord is tangled onto itself by hand, forming loops and organic shapes, and geometric moulds then hold it together as a solid block. Meritalia describes the pieces of the series as never identical and suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
The pouf is 62 × 62 cm and 43 cm high, made of extruded polyurethane in black, blue, red, yellow or green. It matches the Senzafine armchair seat and can be used beside it or on its own. Since the loops are laid by hand, small differences between pieces are part of the process.
