La Pagnottina is a chair by Gaetano Pesce for Meritalia and the smaller companion of the La Pagnotta armchair. Both pieces rest on the idea of opposites, thick and thin, soft and rigid, like dough that rises and is baked. Pagnottina has fourteen carbon-fibre legs that form its structure and carry a thin seat. Back and seat are slim, with light padding and clean lines that the manufacturer calls almost rationalist.
The frame is flexible: it adapts to the weight of the person sitting and supports it without bulk. The cover is Adele, a cotton fabric from category A, in seven colours: red, yellow, green, grey, blue, white and purple. The chair measures 40 × 40 cm and is 85 cm high.
