The 543 Broadway table completes Gaetano Pesce's series for Meritalia, which also includes two chairs and a stool. The top is coloured resin on a thin, essential metal frame with spring feet, and it measures 200 × 100 cm at a height of 75 cm. Pesce often designed objects that can be produced in series and still differ from one another, and the resin is where that difference comes from.
The resin is injected into a mould, where the colours mix on their own, and is assembled onto the frame once it has set. The table is limited to 33 pieces and comes in yellow and red or in blue and green. Form and colour can differ from the photographs, and over time the resin may change colour slightly. Meritalia counts both among the traits of artisanal production.
