Hug is a seating system by Cristián Mohaded for Meritalia, built from modules in a checkerboard pattern. The pattern both forms and decorates the seat, and Meritalia describes the system as fresh and elegant. Hug 220 is the sofa of the system: 220 cm wide, 110 cm deep and 70 cm high.
The modules are covered in Fabiola, a chenille of polyacrylic, polyester and cotton (category B). Each sofa uses two colours that alternate across the checkerboard, offered as cream with hazelnut, salt with pink or salt with forest. The manufacturer does not state padding or frame. There is a matching armchair, Hug 110.
